Project Description: Copper Construction Company, Inc. (CCCI) served as the prime contractor on this renovation project.  Work included the removal and reinstallation of 142,000 sq. ft. of clay tile roof.  Also included was asbestos and lead based paint abatement, replacement of damaged roof deck, new ice and water shield, new 2 x 4 battens, removal and reinstallation of the existing clay roof tile, gutter and downspout replacement, spray foam roofing located at each tower, and window replacement at each tower.  Building 399 is a temporary barracks for personnel visiting Fort Benning for specialized classes.  During construction, the building was occupied and therefore extensive safety precautions went into effect to protect the workers and building occupants.
