Project Description: Copper Construction Company, Inc. (CCCI) served as a major subcontractor on this new construction project.  CCCI teamed with Pond for the design services.  CCCI and Pond worked closely together to meet the owner’s requirements for an energy efficient LEED silver project while keeping cost with CCCI’s budget.  The new addition was added onto the existing bathroom building.  The addition was for a new security check point for badging which added 6 check-in stations with one being handicap.  An office was added.  The building consisted of new split face block, metal trusses, SSMR, security counter, fire alarm/mass notification system, finishes, and low maintenance landscaping using river rock.  The project achieved LEED Silver certifiable.  CCCI used most of the labor, subcontractors and suppliers from the local area which helped with contributing back to the local economy.
