Project Description: Copper Construction Company, Inc. (CCCI) served as the prime contractor on this renovation project.  CCCI teamed with the Charleston district Corps of Engineers and the 81st RSC Army Reserve personnel.  CCCI, USACE, and 81st worked closely together to meet the owner’s requirements for a complete upgrade of the buildings electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems, which will accommodate all new systems in the building while keeping cost within CCCI’s budget.  CCCI performed the ceiling demolition, HVAC demolition and asbestos abatement.  Ceiling tile and grid replacement in hallways and adjoining rooms was removed and replaced to allow easy access for incoming systems all electrical panels, pulled and replaced all building electrical wiring and total lighting replacement, removed and replaced AHU’s, VAV’s, chilled water piping, heating, water piping, HVAC Duct and Insulation. Installed DDC, Controls, completed TAB, commissioning.  CCCI used labor, subcontractors, and suppliers from the local area, when possible, to help with contributing back to the local economy.
